Sekou Andrews & The String Theory

My role: Executive Producer —
Record production with Los Angeles-based spoken word poet Sekou Andrews and Berlin-based artist collective The String Theory. A genre-bending fusion of poetry and orchestral music and a sonic fight for justice. The album was subsequently nominated for a Grammy 2020 in the Best Spoken Word Album category.
I negotiated agreements with involved management and publishing companies, managed the transcontinental production, licensed the record to an American record label, organized the European part of the marketing campaign, and participated in promotional activities in the US.
I also co-produced two video shoots in Los Angeles and Berlin, managed the orchestra performers and selected the editors. The video for the focus track Love Says was produced in collaboration with Optimist Inc. and Color of Change.
